DENTURES

A denture is an appliance which is worn to replace lost or missing teeth. A full denture replaces all of the natural teeth in either jaw. Like dental implants and bridges, a partial denture is used to fill the spaces created by lost or missing teeth. Dentures also provide structure to your smile so that you do not get a sunken appearance which can develop when teeth are missing.

In denture work we focus on function, comfort and creating a natural look to help you enjoy life without worry or embarrassment. Movement from poor fitting dentures can irritate the gums, cause soreness, slurred speech and clicking noises. Conventional dentures are fabricated based on a metal frame and are rigid, they contain visible metal clasps to anchor to your existing teeth.

A complete/full denture is one that replaces all of the natural teeth in both the upper or lower jaws. A partial denture fills in the spaces created by lost or missing teeth and can be secured to your natural teeth with/without metal clasps.
